President - James Li As president, my role is to be the official representative and official spokesperson of ACES to all other engineering students, professional, and industry associations. I am eager to work with the engineering schools in Atlantic Canada to exchange ideas that will help improve the undergraduate engineering experience for students through their respective engineering societies. I hope to establish communication throughout the maritime engineering schools and to organize fun events to bring the region together. The 2011-2012 ACES Board of Directors are full of motivated students and I am looking forward to working with them over the next year. VP Communications - Michael MatthewsAs VP Communications I am responsible for all communication between the Atlantic
Council of Engineering Students Board of Directors and the member
schools. As the VP Communications of the ACES I am also the Atlantic
Ambassador for the Canadian Federation of Engineering Students.
My goals this year include continuing to increase the involvement
of Atlantic schools at ACES events and continue to improve our
relationship with the CFES. I will also be striving to improve Atlantic student
involvement within the ACES and the CFES. The ACES and the CFES have very strong officer
teams this year and I look forward to working together with them in the coming

VP Finance - Whitney Hurlbut As VP Finance, my role is the create short term and long term budget goals and to properly allocate funds in order to maintain transparency. I hope to set ACES up in a financial state that allows for maximum growth, opportunity and potential. Director of Corporate Relations - Justin Cooke As Director of Corporate Relations, my role is to create new sponsorship opportunities for ACES and be the primary contact with the engineering industry as it relates to these opportunities. As this is a new position, my role will continue to be defined over the course of the year.
