Message from the President
Hello Atlantic engineering
students! I am James Li, president of ACES for 2011-2012. As a student at
Dalhousie Engineering, one of the many great engineering schools in Atlantic
Canada, I am driven to represent the maritimes and bring all the fellow
atlantic engineering students together and help build a greater sense of
community. We also bridge the gap between students and corporations to create a
healthy partnership and potential future employment oppertunities. Furthermore,
we perform outreach to the high school students in our area in hopes of
promoting the respectable profession that is engineering.
ACES currently represents 12 different
engineering student societies from the maritime region of Canada. We are
looking for more representation as there are qualifying schools who are not
members currently. If you are part of the said few schools please feel free to
contact us for more information on joining our organization.
We hope that through ACES, students could
voice their suggestions, concerns, and opinions and have them heard throughout
the Maritime provinces. We are always looking for student involvement to help
us become a better organization in order to continue our service to the
atlantic students. Please feel free to browse our site at your leisure, as well
as submitting any suggestions or comments and we will be happy to receive your
feedback!
